War in Afghanistan

Last week, President Obama visited Afghanistan on the 1 year anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden. There are approximately 88,000 troops currently in Afghanistan which will be drawn down to around 65,000 by the end of the summer. The President said the rest will be removed after this summer at a "steady pace," through 2014.

In addition to the tremendous human sacrifice, it is expected next year's operations in Afghanistan will cost US taxpayers $100 billion.
